Project idea - Anti-Rollbar

The focus is on a component that has a decisive influence on driving dynamics: the anti-roll bar. As a key element for optimizing vehicle balance, our project aims to significantly improve driving dynamics.

By reducing the roll angle of the vehicle when cornering, we not only achieve more direct cornering behavior, but also optimize aerodynamics through a more stable air flow. The result? A vehicle setup that sets new standards in terms of efficiency and performance on the racetrack.

Retrofitting the anti-roll bar should significantly reduce the lateral inclination of the vehicle when cornering and thus improve performance on the race track.

Why IRTe?

The fascination of motorsport: that's what drives us. We develop a new formula car every year. Designed, constructed, marketed and, of course, driven by ourselves.

This requires a strong team - our team. We are convinced that we are not only developing professionally, but that we are also surpassing ourselves personally.

What's your task?

The vehicle dynamics of the existing pushrod suspension with transverse damper are to be improved by adding an anti-roll bar. The challenge lies in integrating the anti-roll bar into the existing suspension system without negatively affecting the basic dynamics of the vehicle.

  • You develop, design and implement the anti-roll bar on the IR24.

  • You ensure that the component is easily adaptable to race track and driver conditions.

  • You will accompany the production process through to installation in the vehicle.

What's your profile?

You need a passion for motorsport and good communication skills. It is also important that you work on your own initiative and independently contribute and implement new ideas.

  • Previous knowledge of design with Catia is ideal

  • Previous knowledge of chassis technology is ideal
